Confirmed from Monitor Township Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“Beautiful park, with two seemingly unused baseball diamonds.”

Huge park with pavilion, bathrooms, nature walk, exercise prices, baseball fields, and two playgrounds, they put some never playground equipment in the late 2010's includes merry go round, large slide, and centrifuge.

★★★★★ — Linuxfox00 , Mar 2022

Large nice park with parking and play areas for children. Clean small restrooms with running water. Horseshoe pits and play areas. Several picnic tables and some grills. Near a freeway so a little noisy. Lots of room to play in the field. Appears to be maintained well.

★★★★☆ — Hayden , May 2023

Huge beautiful park, theres 2 different play areas with a classic merry go round, swings, monkey bars and 3 slides, 4 charcoal grills, 1 huge pavilion with 8-10 tables, working bathrooms, cement running track around park, dog clean up stations, horse shoe pits, base ball feild, volleyball set up(no net).

★★★★★ — Aud , Jul 2022

Very large wide open park. Great walking paved trails. Dog-Friendly park, which I love that. My boy loves to walk the trails with me. Bathrooms are a bonus. The highway is a bit noisy, but nothing can be perfect. Certainly would not detour me from using this park.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

Plan your run at Monitor Township Park

The practical stuff

  • AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
  • SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
