I live right next to this lovely and beautiful trail. It's very peaceful and all you will hear is birds chirping. There is watershed nearby its blissful. There are benches to rest and you can enjoy snacks there.
I like to start my walk/runs from this location. Good parking and it's not too far from my home. Traveling North (from the parking lot facing the trail, go right) you can get a good distance before running into a road crossing which is nice. Highly recommend.
One of the better stretches of the northern part of the Montour Trail. Access is good with bathroom facilities and you have the plenty of trail in both directions to enjoy. It's a about 4 miles to the end of the trail in Coraopolis from this point.
Such a fun experience. Feels safe leaving your cat parked in this parking lot where a few other businesses are. Trail, always a great time!
