Confirmed from Mount Nebo / North Peak Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Mount Nebo / North Peak Trailhead

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (68 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 7 mentions

“But seriously, this is a beautiful hike that most people will find quite difficult.”

Excellent hike for those who have this Peak on their bucket list or peakbagger checkoff. The hike IS difficult which can take at a minimum 6 hrs roundtrip. Views are astonishing that you get a range of the entire Wasatch range, the city down below, and I-15.

This is a great trail with lots of excellent views. My new favorite trail because of all the different sections of steeps, flats and mid mountain ridgelines. The views of Juab County and of Fairview is cool. I also loved the sound of the rocks beneath my feet up top!

★★★★☆ — Randy , Jul 2022

Difficult hike but well worth it. Less experienced hikers may enjoy the first 2-3 miles to the false summit because they aren't as strenuous as the last ascent to the summit. Lots of flowers, wildlife, and the only negative was the heat and biting flies. We started at 4am and finished by 11am. 3.5 hours up and 3.

Great hike. Lots of ups and downs so the steepness doesn’t kill your knees as much on the way back. Saw lots of cattle. Enjoyed it.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
