Confirmed from Mountain View Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Lovely new park with 2 playground sets side by side, one geared toward the toddler crowd (1-5) and the other geared toward the older crowd (5-10). The ground is the springy packed foam that many new playgrounds are using these days. The gazebo with picnic benches and trashcans (and recycling cans!

★★★★★ — Suzanne , Sep 2017

Nice playground with rubber flooring. Two playgrounds, one for big kids and one for younger ones. One covered pavilion for picnicking. A+ and one of the best ones around. Arguably one of the best in the county.

Very nice park. It is actually connected to the other hillsborough park, van anne something, via that giant field. Has good playground for children and good walking areas.

★★★★★ — Eton , Jul 2024

Nice area to bring your kids, walk your dog, and just enjoy some fresh air. Pretty well maintained. They do have bathrooms as well as porta potties that are well maintained.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
