Confirmed from Mowry Conservation Area's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Kid-friendly park with nature trails that are half and three-quarters of a mile long.
What runners say about Mowry Conservation Area
“Beautiful river flows through the middle of the area and there are some rock formations there to see as well.”
“This place is so cool, the main area is gorgeous and the trails are well marked”
“Beautiful place on Old Forge Rd in Smithfiled to take your dog for a walk.”
This is the perfect place to take your little kids to run off some steam and explore. With a little more than a mile and a half of trails, the kiddos can enjoy a sense of accomplishment when finishing a trail. Dog friendly and most of the trails are wide enough to social distance.
Was a great walk in the woods. The two trails were very well marked. I did the whole loop. Was a steady incline at one point which obviously led to a decline. Not too bad. Path was in great shape. Lots to look at and enjoy. Loved the little stream under the rock and the bridge. Adds lots of charm.
Great trails and some beautiful scenery. Some of the hills become steep so its best to be careful if you are with small children. Parking is a bit tough as well. You'll have to park on the road and that isn't always easy. Other than that, we love it here and go often!
Beautiful wooded area with a couple of nice trails that wind through the forest. There's a really pretty babbling brook towards the very beginning of the conservation area. We love it here!!
