Confirmed from Mt. Nebo Loop's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Mt. Nebo Loop

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (76 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 19 mentions

“Beautiful scenery, waterfall at the Grotto trail, pine trees, patches of red rock (Devil's Kitchen that's reminiscent of a mini Ceder Breaks or micro Bryce canyon ridge).”

Driving the Mt Nebo Loop has been a bit of a running joke in our family. On the way home from a long drive, "Hey kids, should we take the Mt. Nebo Loop?" Or in the pitch dark "Say, let's take the loop" yet never, in 20+ years, have we driven it until recently and wow, have we been missing out!

★★★★★ — Rachel , Sep 2022

The park is 9 minutes away from our house and overall is a nice place to gather together as a family and have a good time. We found two fire pits so far and picnics tables. It has a decent parking lot, restrooms and a frisbee golf course. We also were lucky enough to see a couple of deer running around the last time.

★★★★☆ — Allenby , Oct 2022

Fantastic! Scenic byway to watch all the beautiful colors of Utah change. Couple rock hounding places along the way. Devil's kitchen was way cool. I love this drive!

★★★★★ — Richard , Sep 2025

It was beautiful. Saw some animals resting close by, a bunch of trails, and steams/creeks. The road was in good condition to drove on.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
