Confirmed from Muirhead Springs Forest Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Nice and quiet forest preserve with a flat and easy loop trail around a prairie. The prairie is beautiful, especially in the summer, when the wildflowers are in full bloom. The main trail loop is just under 3.5 miles and is perfect for walking or running.
A beautiful place for sun rises and classic Illinois landscapes. The trail is about a 2 mile loop, but bring a hat because there's not a lot of shade!
Nice gravel trail in a big loop. Very flat, VERY high exposure to wind. Improved gravity toilets, picnic facilities, and season water at the trailhead. Paved parking lot.
Nice gravel loop 3 or 4 miles. Drinking water and 8 picnic tables in shelter. Clean vault bathrooms.
