Confirmed from Muldoon Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Riverside park with a gazebo and benches for relaxing walks and paddling.
What runners say about Muldoon Park
“You can launch a canoe or kayak from here or just sit by the water and enjoy the peace and quiet.”
It is a park in Lowell located on the Merrimack River. You can launch a canoe or kayak from here or just sit by the water and enjoy the peace and quiet. There is a small walking trail with a gazebo you can also sit at.
Great place to just chill out, soak in some Urban nature, and breathe a little bit. You can definitely launch kayaks or even small boats. Some decent fishing if you're creative. Across the street is the main entrance to the Concord River Greenway. Awesome place to walk or ride bikes.
Nice little park. Good parking lot. Very clean with some benches and a nice water view. I just wish it was a little bigger. There is a tiny little path where you can walk, but you can cross the whole park in a few minutes so it’s not much of a walking spot.
A quiet place with benches and a nice view of the water. Perfect to watch the sunset. A really sweet gazebo for pictures. A little path for kids to bike ride!

The practical stuff
- AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
