Confirmed from Narragansett Ave Waterfront Public Access Point's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Narragansett Ave Waterfront Public Access Point

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (119 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 14 mentions

“It's good place to go as far or as near as you'd like and see some striking, ostentatious "cottages" and beautiful ocean views.”

This cliffwalk is amazing and this is for sure the best entry point. Has awesome stairs that go down toward the water for spectacular views. The path to the left of the stairs is perfect and goes all the way to Easton's beach. It has bathrooms too.

Catch the tree bus #67 up to the walking trail and you are all set. There are parts that are a very easy walk but others that are a little more challenging. You can get a map though - Green = easy, while Red = harder. Map is not really to scale though.

This is a great place to begin the Cliff Walk. There are a couple of restrooms for your convenience. It's good place to go as far or as near as you'd like and see some striking, ostentatious "cottages" and beautiful ocean views. As you walk east, there are warnings of rough terrain.

Cliff walk and the 40 steps are a must see when visiting Newport. Carefully navigate your steps as you descend into another land of crashing waves in the distance and seagulls flying overhead. Parking is busy and it is a paid system kiosk. The cliff walk short and well worth the view.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
