The trail pretty much runs parallel to the Natchez Trace. Scenery is beautiful and the trail is pretty defined. However, there needs to be more signs. A) No map so we were not completely sure what trail we were on. B) Mile markers would be nice.
Wear tick spray. It could use some maintenance on some of the bridges but was a great hike. 90% of the west Florida boundary to Yandel rd trailhead is shaded.
A nice dirt trail through some open woods. An easy walk for kids. Went with a cub scout group of kids and they had a blast.
Nice spot to sit and relax by the water. Plenty of shade trees. Or a nice trail to hike or bike..it's a long hike..
