Confirmed from Nature Discovery Center's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Educational nature center featuring trails and a playground, plus interactive exhibits.
What runners say about Nature Discovery Center
“They also have a park with playground equipment and 2 clean bathrooms!”
I visited this location as part of a Where's Waldo search for local businesses. The property is well landscaped with adequate parking. The paths on the grounds appeal to all ages, and there are restrooms and administration rooms on both floors of the main building.
Great place to take the kids and they have a parking lot. Wasnt very busy on a Saturday afternoon. Places to play indoors and learn. Cute little hiking trails and small ponds. In the back is a sand pit and playground. Looks like they offer classes and camps. Lots of small critters inside aquariums. We will be back.
This is an awesome place that's free to take your kids to explore Nature. There is a building with rooms inside and people to talk to you about the animals. There's a large nature area outside with various trails and a small play area. Great for a picnic.
Pleasant place for toddlers and young children. There's an enclosed nature trail, not too long. The center itself has two floors with many animal exhibits - fish, baby alligators, guinea pigs, stuffed animals and lots to stations for kids to do coloring. There are caged rabbits, opossums outside.
