Such a beautiful nicely shaded playground area! My kids never wanted to leave that sand pit! The trails were a short walk, but very pretty! Public restrooms available behind the Nature Center.
This is one of my favorite parks in Houston. I would highly recommend to anyone outdoorsy who likes nature and animals. It is much more than just a park. There are actually two parks here, a nature center, walking paths, a small pond and a pool. The parks are very large with ample space to play soccer, badminton, etc.
I took my 3 year old here to check it out. Upon entering, there is a decently sized playground with a sandbox and an additional activity area. Going through the nature trail was fun, as you can really find the animals labeled on the habitat signposts peppered throughout the park.
my husband and i are getting into birding and this is a great park to see some amazing birds!! it’s also just a very calming area - great for a walk in beautiful nature!
