Confirmed from NaturePlex - Alabama Nature Center's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about NaturePlex - Alabama Nature Center
“The main building is gorgeous.”
Very well maintained trails and facilities, but doesn't open on Sundays and can be pricey unless you get the season pass.
We went for a hike and loved it. Good trails!! The main building is gorgeous.
The property is really pretty, the staff is excellent. The kids had a great time learning about reptiles and amphibians. We will definitely return to visit and walk the 5 miles of trails.
A lot of easy trails in the shade of forest trees. Bit of a drought right now, but when the streams are running I can imagine it being a great soundtrack for the hike. The trails are all wide and well maintained, no steep elevation changes, and lots of educational signage.
Trail conditions & character
“The restrooms at the Pavillion were locked as well.”
