Confirmed from Naugatuck State Forest's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Naugatuck State Forest
Easy parking, nice trails, great lakes, hiking, fishing...! This is a very convenient natural area just off the beaten path.
Trails were in great condition, a couple areas where not well marked but easy to find your way out and the scenery was gorgeous. The loop trail was easy enough for me who is not in the best shape!
Nice graveled road/trails to the reservoirs. A great easy hike for kids after a rainy day - no mud to walk in
Such a fantastically fun forrest to explore. To lose your mind and free your soul. So many sights to be seen, with numerous trails and landmarks. From reservoirs to winding streams. Huge rocks and towering trees. Adventure awaits!
