Confirmed from Neal Butler Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Neal Butler Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (244 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 3 mentions

“Also, it is kept clean and is well maintained.”

🌳 shaded & cool 6 mentions

“Other than that, there was shade a couple of obstacles to work/train dogs on and a water fountain in the "common" area.”

I like to bring our dogs here. The dog area is huge but doesn't have any grass. Still, the dogs are free to run the fence in-between the big dog and little dog side. The goal of wearing them out with running is accomplished when there's a playful big dog on the other side. Our dogs love it here!

Took dogs to the dog park. The signage is not totally clear as to which side of the park is for what size dog. Other than that, there was shade a couple of obstacles to work/train dogs on and a water fountain in the "common" area. My dogs had fun running around and playing and there was shaded seating for us humans.

Went to the dog park. It is big for running the dogs. Has only one shelter for dog parents. Bring your own water. And walk the dog park for any bad things for your pet. Overall ok place.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
