Confirmed from Nette Shultz Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“It's a great, quiet, and comfortable neighborhood park.”

Great little neighborhood park with a small playground, tennis courts, plenty of grass to play sports, a few grills and a .56 mile walking trail. It's connected to Avondale park which has a basketball court and slightly larger playground.

★★★★☆ — Cynthia , Nov 2016

This Park is good place to bring your small kids for some relaxation, pleasure, and small play. It's recently renovated. Next to the park is a walking path to go on a walk or run for your pleasure and health. Overall, it's decent and you can reap the rewards of what you're looking for.

I had to stop jogging here because of mole holes in the grass but there is a sidewalk now. Picnic tables and a playground provide places to stop and enjoy the area. Located in the Cross Timbers area, there are a lot of shade trees along with open grassy areas and a tennis court.

★★★★☆ — Barbara , Nov 2016

Big beautiful park, new kiddie playground, soccer field, cement perimeter 3/4 mile trail, human and dog water fountain, picnic area under mature live oaks, and a variety of yearling trees in a beautiful older neighborhood near the corner of Mistywood and Mistywood.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
