Confirmed from Nicholl Knob's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Nicholl Knob
“An unassuming, easy-to-get-to hilltop with great views of the Bay, Richmond, San Francisco, the Berkeley Hills, etc.”
Secret place up in Richmond. A common vista point for people. Short uphill hike from a spot where you can drive your car too - great for family/elders who can’t really hike. All around 360 panoramic view that will take your breathe away as you wonder why you weren’t here earlier.
An unassuming, easy-to-get-to hilltop with great views of the Bay, Richmond, San Francisco, the Berkeley Hills, etc. It's a bit of a steep hike up the last part, but it's worth it. I sort of keep hoping it'll remain unknown :-).
