Confirmed from Richmond-San Rafael Bridge Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

I'd wanted to do this walk for a very long time. I parked on Tewkesbury at Castro, 20 feet from the trailhead. It was a Thursday morning and the whole trip I only saw maybe twenty cyclists, no other pedestrians. The views are great and the inclines are so gentle as to be insignificant.
This is one of the best biking route, riding this beautiful 6 miles long Richmond-San Rafael Bridge Bike / Pedestrian Path was really awesome. I recommend everyone in bay area to try this once. Simply beautiful ride and beautiful view. Highly recommended :)

Part of the reason why I love to run is that I get to explore places just by going out on my own two feet. When I trained for my first marathon last summer, the biggest highlight was getting to explore lots of different places through my Saturday morning long runs, and I can say that the best thing ever was running…

The practical stuff
- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
