Confirmed from Nomahegan Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Besides Rahway River & Nomahegan Lake, this park offers scenic trails, sports fields & a playground.
What runners say about Nomahegan Park
“Well maintained, clean bathrooms, dog friendly, abundant wildlife, exercise equipment, and a diverse makeup of park goers.”
“I’m thinking maybe I missed the really interesting places in this park or just, in terms of seasons, was there at a less than scenic time, but there wasn’t much here.”
“It’s peaceful, quiet, and just the right kind of escape when you need a break from the noise.”

Great park for a stroll. The clouds reflect beautifully on the water. There are walking trails and exercise stops along the way. There are barcodes on the trees to learn about them. Only saw fishes and ducks today, no turtles. No fishing allowed. Saw a lone Cherry Blossom tree in bloom.
It is a nice park with trails to walk and playground for kids. The water reflects trees is very peaceful. Deers are special here with the tails and ears.
This park is hands-down one of my favorite places to unwind. The trail is beautiful— surrounded by trees that make you feel like you’re miles away from everything. It’s peaceful, quiet, and just the right kind of escape when you need a break from the noise. One of the coolest things?

- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
