Confirmed from Norich Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Norich Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (143 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 4 mentions

“The Park is well kept and clean.”

🌳 shaded & cool 11 mentions

“A canopy convers the park when it's sunny out and the park has concrete trails for walking or biking.”

Fun hidden gem for all ages with great shade. Looked like a great walking trail. We will explore more in the future.

★★★★★ — Rebecca , Jun 2023

Small neighborhood park with a short, paved walking loop. The playground was *just* renovated with all-new play equipment, and it's a significant improvement! No public bathrooms, though, if that is important for you.

★★★★☆ — Anna , Sep 2018

Bring Hot Wheels! I lucked out and had one in my backpack. The toddler area has a track that mostly works but it was fun to experiment and make it work. NRH seems to be the only city near us that truly cares about shade. This one has a great shade structure to go with a NICE playground.

I love this park. It's so beautiful and clean. Fun for smaller kids and bigger kids. Has a walking trail, picnic tables and even has a grill to cook out. Soccer goals and plenty of wide open spaces.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
