Confirmed from North Cary Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
This park has baseball, basketball & volleyball, plus a playground, climbing wall & picnic area.

This is the first park I visited when I moved to RTP, years passed and it’s still in my top 3. It has something for all. 1) basketball court 2) volleyball court 3) shelter 4) playground with big slides and sand pits 5) sloppy trails with bridges, stairs to burn extra calories 6) ground for soccer matches Please note…
Loved walking on trails. This park has soccer field, volleyball courts, basket ball court, kids play area, rock climbing activity, many picnic benches, grassy areas, nice bridges to walk, restrooms, shade. It has good parking space.
Was a cool playground area. I like how all their playground equipment was spread out! Super cool, a slide here...a slide there...swings over here...trails through the woods as well. Great playground and park area for kids! 👍👍

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
