Confirmed from Crabtree Creek Greenway's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Crabtree Creek Greenway
“The part I walked was mostly shaded but there were definitely areas where the sun shows clearly above you.”
Beautiful trail to explore, this trail can lead you to Umstead Park and it's trails. Along this trail you can find raspberries brushes, grape vines, mushrooms (not all mushrooms are edible; if you don't know mushrooms, leave them alone) and berries for the birds😊 definitely don't touch them.
It's a great place for walking, running and biking. It has a fantastic view of the lake. I usually go here for biking and would recommend this Greenway. The best part is the off road trail for biking..
I love the Crabtree Creek Greenway, always some interesting animals. I have seen snakes, deer, turkey and of course birds 😃
The path was well taken care of at least the part that I walked. There were a fair number of dogs and people: walking, bike riding, roller blading, and running. It was by no means over crowded though. The part I walked was mostly shaded but there were definitely areas where the sun shows clearly above you.
