Confirmed from North LBJ Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about North LBJ Trailhead

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (24 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

It was hard to find. It has an automatic gate the looks like it should be part of the Apartments. Hope my photos help get you back to the parking. It is a lovely park and I have been to both this Trail head and the one on Key Line.

Very nice place to go hiking! There is a wide variety of fungi and wild flowers and plants to gawk at! It is a larger place, so be careful you don't get lost or anything. The entrance is a bit odd to find, it is located kind of inside that apartment complex area, but it is a public park so don't be shy going in.

Beautiful nature hike this morning! Keep your four legged hiking friends leashed up though... Lot's of ferel wildlife around.

New parking area and trailhead, great place for people not used to hiking the hills. Easy to find your way back to when you get ready to leave as well.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
