Confirmed from North Walk-in-Water Creek's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about North Walk-in-Water Creek
“The tropical oak hammock is extremely beautiful with live oaks covered with wild orchids, bromeliads and resurrection fern.”
“Beautiful peaceful area, open space to enjoy nature.”
A nice Polk County Environmental Area along wild Walk-in-Water Creek. There are, as of this time, December 2016, only a few short trails and a small fishing lake. The tropical oak hammock is extremely beautiful with live oaks covered with wild orchids, bromeliads and resurrection fern.
First, you walk around the lake, and then you enter fairyland. The little forrest that you can enter halfway around the lake is magical, and I loved it. One of the best things I've seen in Florida. Trees with "hair" 🤣 Definitely worth the stop and stroll! ❤️
Absolutely beautiful, shady hike. Only about 1.5 miles but very nice and well maintained.
Just took my family for Walk for the first time but u bet I will be going back love it.
