Confirmed from Northeast Metro Park Walk/Bike Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park with a public restroom, picnic tables, and trails for running.
What runners say about Northeast Metro Park Walk/Bike Trail
“Love taking my dog to run around, and play ball with her.”
“Nicely shaded with large trees, sounds of a nearby stream, and the occasional wildlife encounter (bunnies, turtles, and sometimes snakes).”
This is a fairly nice paved trail for walking and biking. Even when there are sports games going on, you can still get away from the crowd walking on these trails. There are areas with lots of trees so in the summer it helps with the heat.
This is one of my favorite places to run. Beautiful scenery. Nicely shaded with large trees, sounds of a nearby stream, and the occasional wildlife encounter (bunnies, turtles, and sometimes snakes). It's the best place to go to get a break from the stressors of every day life.
Two miles long from Pecan St. to the bottom of the trail, there are numerous shaded woodland areas and picnic tables to enjoy. Workout stations dot the side of the trail along the way.
Great park and trail. You can ride from park to park in Pflugerville all the way to Black Locust and back.
