I love this nature center. Cisco the Donkey is my favorite animal there to visit. Also, horses , cows, ducks, chickens, goats, sheep, bunnies, historic buildings, native walk , gift shop , great place for learning.
If you want to know about the Connecticut tobacco industry from the earliest days to the present, or want to visit a small animal farm for the kids, or, would like to do some hiking throughout beautiful fields and woods, visit this place.
3.3.24 This is more than just a park. On their website you can find more info about the walking trails, gardens, farm animals, nature center, maple syrup demonstrations, snowshoe rentals in the winter, playground, picnic area rentals, etc. Today I hiked 5+ miles of their trails which were quite muddy.
This is definitely a beautiful trail to take your family to visit some of the farm animals that they have here. I followed a map from the all trails app which took me in a five mile loop around the whole area. Easy hike around. Big parking Lot for this area.
