Confirmed from Cowles Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Preserved parkland offering multiple trails for hikers & mountain bikers through forested surrounds.
What runners say about Cowles Park
“The trails are very well maintained and everyone is always very friendly in the parking lot.”
Definitely a great Park to walk your dog hiker even bike. There are definitely a lot of trails within the hike and they are pretty well marked even with bike trail markers.
Avid mountain biker. I live nearly an hour away but it's always worth the drive. Great trails. Lots of options for terrains. Good views and it's kept in good shape.
If you live within a half hour or so of here it's excellent for mountain biking. Many different trails to explore. It has some technical spots as well including small wood bridges and log crossings. I rode here for a couple hours and had a blast.
It's really a nice place for trails. If you're going to do walking or riding bikes, it's great place. The only reason I'm giving it a four the signage for walking the different trails in my opinion are are in some spots too spaced out Yes I did enjoy myself years ago with my girls.
