Confirmed from NW Community Park DORBA Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about NW Community Park DORBA Trail

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (206 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 5 mentions

“It's well maintained, has a nice mix of flat plains type trail and twisty shades woods slight technical.”

A perfect place to tree-bathe. A lot of trees, and greenery, beautiful flowers in abundance. Also a perfect place to birdwatch. The bike trails look fun but not too intense.

★★★★★ — Frisco , Jul 2023

The trail is okay. It is a very small dirt road that can go in multiple directions depending on how far you want to go. The map is a little helpful... If you are a hiker you go to the left and if you are a biker you go to the right. Bikers and hikers will cross eachother in the opposite direction.

This trail is excellent. It's well maintained, has a nice mix of flat plains type trail and twisty shades woods slight technical. We did all 3 segments running, and ended up with 5.3 miles in 1hr 15min. Highly recommend! There is a porta potty at the head as well as a bike mechanic and picnic tables.

Soo much fun! 3 different trails. The easy trail was great for my younger son and I. Loved it.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🌲 Natural surface / singletrack 5 mentions

“That being said, there are definitely muddy spots and just because the trail is "open" doesn't mean you're gonna be free from mud.”

  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
