Confirmed from Oak Grove Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Family-friendly recreation area featuring dog parks, baseball and soccer fields, and archery ranges.
What runners say about Oak Grove Park
“it has a port-a-john bathroom but it was clean when I was there for Family Fun Day.”
“My dog, Roo, loved spending time here!”
This is a really great park with lots of fun stuff for the kids to do. There is plenty is seating areas. They also have a little trail you can walk around a pond. And around the pond in certain spots is work out equipment.
Super nice park. 2 nice sized playgrounds. Plenty of parking. 15 Soccer Fields. A catch and release pond. Baseball fields. A mile walking trail. Exercise route with equipment. 2 Dog Park areas. And plenty of picnic tables under shelter. There's also an archery near the back of the park.
Heaven for dogs! The nicest thing you can do for your dog is bring them here, and let them play with all their cousins! Water bowls and places to sit and shade, and all the friendliest people and pets! And a blink charger for your EV.
This is one of those universal parks. They have almost everything you could want to do there. Hikes, playground, dog park, soccer and baseball fields. It's a very peaceful place to visit.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
