Confirmed from Ohio University Ridges Land Lab Nature Preserve And Scientific Research Area's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Ohio University Ridges Land Lab Nature Preserve And Scientific Research Area
“Beautiful trails, habitats, graveyards, history, this was our first time here and perfect for family hiking.”
“An easy walk would be from the lot on Dairy Barn Lane to Radar Hill and back.”
Very well maintained trails that are easy to moderate. There are nature research areas and observatory along the trails.
This is a good hiking area righ th in town. You can access it from a few places including driving up Dairy Barn Lane to a parking area and a small parking area right off 682 between the traffic circle and White's Mill. The latter starts out with a climb which some may want to avoid.
Great place for a hike to enjoy some beautiful scenery. The red loop up to Radar Hill is a moderate climb but not rugged. Trail is in excellent condition. Pay attention at the junctions as the signage and trail markings are a little confusing.
Nice trails with a bit of history added in. Tip.. Plan where to park before you embark on the trail. We didn't do that and ended up walking a long way back to the car.
