Confirmed from Olive Branch City Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (2,100 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 10 mentions

“It’s well kept and if the sun is out, you can guarantee there will be people there enjoying it.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 6 mentions

“Multiple baseball/softball complexes, football area, the track needs improvement, but the walking/ running trail is scenic and good.”

🌳 shaded & cool 3 mentions

“They also have a couple of nice shady dog parks but nobody was there at the time I went.”

I was very impressed with the park. It has a paved walking trail and a small dirt trail. The dirt trail was maybe a half mile. I didn't see any signs indicating the length. The trail was nice, very wide with information on the types of trees ... lots of squirrels... benches if you need or want to sit...

Beautiful park. There is so much to do. Fish, baseball/softball field, tennis court, play volleyball, huge playground for children and has areas for children in wheelchairs to swing and play. Wonderful place for walking or just to sit and enjoy the beauty around you.

Such a nice park to come walk around or just sit by the pond. It’s well kept and if the sun is out, you can guarantee there will be people there enjoying it. Walking path, baseball fields, running track, large grass areas, plenty of places to sit, tons of picnic tables.

Beautiful and clean park. Various walking and bike paths. Tennis Courts and kids play area and much more. I didn't get to see everything during my family reunion but will come back to explore on a future visit.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
  • LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
  • At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
