Pretty easy trails, moderately well kept roads. It's not very foresty, but there are some cool meadows and hollows, many with a lot of thorny vines. It appears that camping is allowed with a permit but is free for day use.
Beautiful wilderness area just south of Oroville Ca, fun to fish for salmon or just watch the fisherman during the fall run at the outlet from the Oroville afterbay, lots of wildlife, deer, migratory birds and fish.
Great place for families to hang out. Bird watch . Go fishing, do a little hunting, or just walk around and have a good day. It's free to go it's free to launch your boat, got good parking, clean bathrooms, and really good disability areas.
