Confirmed from Oscar Park/ Gordon Lake's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Every time I'm on my way to lake Dallas I stop here to walk the trail around lake . Great place to get some exercise in while on road trip . There is a Starbucks & Burger King next door so you can grab and coffee and sit on the many benches they have around park

★★★★★ — Postal , May 2025

Nice concrete walkway around the small lake with benches along the path. Bathrooms on both east and west side of the lake. Nice playground for children and big kids. Concrete basketball court.

★★★★☆ — Brandon , Nov 2019

Sweet park with a great walking path around. Thanks to the garden club for attracting the birds. For us it was a great place to stretch our legs on our way through town. We did 1.4 mi. Walked half and turned back so we could do the board walk 2x

★★★★★ — Melisa , Jul 2024

Great city park! Lots of parking at several places around the lake. Bathrooms on both sides of the lake too. Disk golf course and 2 playgrounds open to the public. The trail around the lake is a nice walk, the old bridges are a nice addition.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🚻 Restrooms 12 mentions

“There was a very nice public restroom we utilized as well.”
