Confirmed from Oswegatchie Hills Nature Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Oswegatchie Hills Nature Preserve
“Beautiful, well maintained trails, with several entry points.”
“Beautiful scenery and lots of fun areas to explore off the main trail.”
Very cute trails that are well-maintained and marked. They have little "sight-seeing" spots on the trail that appear to be quite kid-friendly. Not a long or strenuous hike, but worth a visit to take in nature. Very pretty.
Love the new bridge and wide, clean trails. Trees are marked with signs to let you know where you are going and how to get back. You can also pick up a trail map at the entrance.
One of the most beautiful trails I've seen in new England...great spot, easy trails and trail markers/maps along the way! Thanks to the volunteers who make it possible!
Great short hikes for you and your pup, beautiful, quiet. Be careful, though. It's easy to get lost ( but they have little maps posted at entry points, so grab one!!!)
