Confirmed from Owen Conservation Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
This 97-acre property offers a network of hiking trails, views & an abundance of plants & wildlife.
What runners say about Owen Conservation Park
“Beautiful trails going through a variety of habitat - prairies, ponds, woods.”
This park has an inner trail and outer trail. It's almost a good 3mile hike if you feel up to trekking both trails. We visited some turkeys along the way which made it that much better. Happy trekking!
Beautiful trails going through a variety of habitat - prairies, ponds, woods. Great for birding and hiking.
Nice and quiet place to walk. Beautiful scenery. No dogs are allowed and they have benches if you need to stop and rest.
Wonderful nature paths that are left free to grow and thrive! The paths themselves are well kept, while surrounded by 12' tall flowers and grasses in late summer. A little buggy but bearable. We saw wild turkeys here too!
Trail conditions & character
“The views are amazing considering you're actually in the middle of Middleton (no pun intended).”
“We took the outer trail which has some nice hills and pretty tall grasses.”
