Confirmed from Tiedeman Pond Conservancy's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Tiedeman Pond Conservancy
“Quiet, beautiful, plenty of nature, we loved our 40 minute relaxed hike.”
Beautiful spot with a nice boardwalk around the lake. Lots of bird life for birders.
A gem tucked close to downtown Middleton. Path around the pond is 1 mile long, mostly boardwalk and gravel with a paved section. We almost always see some wildlife up close. Ice rinks in the winter, depending on ice conditions.
This pond is surrond with a trail and plank road. There are a lot of lotus flower in summer. It will be super super beautiful when all flowers open!
Tiedeman Pond has a wonderful path to walk around the lake. It is beautiful with the snow. Fun to watch people having a fun time on the ice.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
