Confirmed from Pacifica Quarry Running Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Pacifica Quarry Running Trail
“Beautiful community memory garden full of flowers in bloom & well maintained.”
“Delightful path for hikers and cyclists, with gorgeous views of the Pacific Ocean by the creek.”
The hike starts out easy with gardens by the community along the side. Most of the gardens appear to be memorials, including remember those who lost their lives on 9/11. The easy trail is also used by bicyclists and runners. Eventually, the hike becomes moderate to hard, if you want to hike to higher elevations.
Loved this place. Very clean and nice trail. DON’T FORGET TO CARRY WARM CLOTHES. It toooo windy but a lovely place to explore.
Pacifica Quarry Trail is a really beautiful hike with some unforgettable views. You get amazing scenery of the ocean and cliffs, and it’s just one of those places that makes you pause and take it all in. Be ready though — there are definitely some steep hills. My shins were on fire by the end 😅 but in a good way.
Running trail is safe for kids and dogs. It has clean trail to reach the beach side. You can miss beautiful trail side garden. Very creative and patriotic. It has a small parking lot. No washrooms. With in 50 feet from highway 101. Wheelchair accessible . Best for all age group. Benches are there for every 200 meeters.
