Confirmed from Palatine Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Scenic riverside park with walking paths, a boat launch & water activities, plus a splash pad.

What runners say about Palatine Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (888 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 7 mentions

“The director of this park is very passionate about making something beautiful for the communityl and it shows.”

Been for a few free shows and always a great time. Although the new seating doesn't fit the park there are seats with shade and cover if it rains.

★★★★★ — Frank , Jun 2022

Went for concert. Some fun lighting, very loud, busy ladies bathroom but it is right there, food trucks for event, nice open place between stands and stage for lawn chairs. Parking lot behind it down the hill at light though that intersection is really weird.

Grab your kids, head out the door cause nobody needs to sit at home especially on kids summer break.free it is yes free .I can not get covid vaccine but had no prob staying away fr ppl..I took my spray and had fun watching grandson run around in the water..great place

★★★★★ — Phil , Jul 2021

Beautiful park. Come take a walk along the river. I've visited the park 3 times this past week, and it's peaceful and clean. There is a playground for the kids. There are many places to picnic.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
