We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Palmetto Recreational Trail yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Palmetto Recreational Trail
Great place to walk or run. The Hydrant Park is at one end, activity for the kids. And during the walk you pass another park great for picnicking. My family loves this location.
Paved, half is well shaded. They need to plant more trees on the west end of the trail. Bike and dog friendly. I've seen a variety of birds and even a tortoise here
Not sure why this was on my timeline, must have visited something very close to the trail I guess. Gave it a 5 star rating anyway.
I discovered this while at Hydrant Park. It was a great day. Nice little walk. Dog loved it and we have been a couple times.
