Confirmed from Riverwalk's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Picturesque riverside park for strolling & enjoying the sights, with a playground & benches.
What runners say about Riverwalk
“Beautiful atmosphere very nice bathrooms as clean as they could be for the amount of use they were getting!”
It is so beautiful and kid friendly at this Riverwalk!!! I love the playground set up and design and the fact that they have a splash pad to beat the Florida heat. The views along the water are so beautiful and there are pleasant little pieces of art along the walk.
Visited the Bradenton Riverwalk recently. I would’ve loved to spend more time there, but the heat and humidity quickly became overwhelming. My goal was to capture photos and videos throughout the entire park, but I only managed to scratch the surface of this beautiful walkway that runs along the Manatee River in…
Another free adventure! Parking is also free. This river walk along the Manatee River is very family friendly. It's about a mile and a half and soon to be longer. We visited the new tower, that will soon be connected to the current walk. Along the current river walk there is lots to do.
A relaxing stroll along the river, walk it fast, or take your bike for a ride. It's picturesque and usually a breeze off the water to cool it down a little. Several restaurants along the way too and Oak & Stone has a rooftop seating area overlooking the river. If you're lucky you might even see the Mayor down there.

Plan your run at Riverwalk
The practical stuff
- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
