Confirmed from Park On Wilgrove's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Park On Wilgrove

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (392 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 6 mentions

“The men that take care of the grounds are friendly and helpful, and bathrooms always sparkling clean.”

🌳 shaded & cool 5 mentions

“Shady enough to enjoy in the summertime, but just enough sun so that we can still go in winter also.”

Nice park in Mint Hill, right down the street from Veterans Park. This park has nice slides, swings, rock climbing spot for kids, spinning device, and a little springy platform to jump on. It has a nice walking trail that the playground is in the center of, and it has little stretch/workout stations around the trail.

★★★★☆ — Allen , Aug 2018

This is one of my favorite area parks. I appreciate the variety of available activities. My children love the playground and exploring the walking trail. There are numerous fitness stations around the park as well. The picnic shelters are nicely maintained.

Such a nice park to go to l, tennis courts well maintained. Nice place to go for a walk!!

★★★★★ — Diego , Mar 2023

I have a new found appreciation for this park. I didn't know it had a trail. Walked it and found myself in a magical place where wonder and excitement lives. Fairies, wood gnomes, and John Stamos all greeted me. What seems days was only a few minutes. Very "Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe" vibes.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
