Confirmed from Parkway Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Clean park featuring a playground and shaded areas, plus a picnic area.

“Small park that's great for children, for running, or for walking the dog!”
“My twins love the play equipment, there is plenty of shaded grass, plus it is located at the end of a court so the kids are safe away from traffic.”

“It's perfect for picnicking, dog walking and family activities with a dedicated, colorful kid playground.”
Nice little park near a busy, high traffics urban jungle though not exercising (it's looking cated near a major intersection). It's perfect for picnicking, dog walking and family activities with a dedicated, colorful kid playground. It's well maintained with a clean restroom that's not vandalized by transients.
Hidden Park I've only visited this park twice, but I sincerely appreciate it. It's been my access to the walk-over bridge over San Tomas Expressway. It is clean and quiet and pleasing to the eye. It might have been home to several families if the City of Santa Clara had not thought to reserve it for the public.
Parkway Park is one of our favorites. My twins love the play equipment, there is plenty of shaded grass, plus it is located at the end of a court so the kids are safe away from traffic. Bathrooms are clean and stocked too.
Clean park. Nice walk way. They need more benches and parking. Everything is enclosed so if you’re gonna take your dog or your kid you don’t have to worry about them running off. There’s only two ways to get out.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
