Confirmed from Peer Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park with a playground, basketball court, picnic tables, and walking trails.
What runners say about Peer Park
I like Van Buren City Park but it has lots of room for improvement. It is long overdue for a makeover, redesign, and/or updates. The first thing on that list should be the old swimming pool that has been shut down for well over 20 years. (Update-They have demolished the pool.
Just be careful, sometimes people like to let their dogs off leashes with no respect for others. As well as some of the fishermen don't care about the non-smoking signs. Otherwise it's a really pretty walk around
Nice little lake in the middle of van buren , good place to bring kids for play and picnic. There's a walking trail and ducks it's great for taking picture perfect nature scenes and graduation pictures. Nice little gems for the people of van buren and the river valley

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
