Confirmed from Penn Valley Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park with the National WWI Museum & Memorial, a theater & tennis, baseball & skateboarding venues.
What runners say about Penn Valley Park
“The beautiful WW1 memorial is a must see in Kansas City as well as the museum below.”
We visited the park today at the WWI Museum (museum is on a separate review...it's awesome!). The park is pretty nice, and spacious. Plenty of grass and trees too have a family gathering, picnic, jog or just unwind. There's a couple of cool statues and a great view of the city.
Why just to catch some shade& to watch skaters at the skate park. Meanwhile, took my hound for a walk & took in the view of the city. Checked out The Scout ( a statue of a native american on a horse). Was a beautiful day. Had a great breeze up there and what I saw of the park was well kept.
This is a beautiful park located right in front of the WWI museum. The World Cup watch party was being held here and we had to walk through this park and all of the festivities on the way to the museum entrance. It was hot out today but it looked like a fun party atmosphere!
Went there for the FIFA fan fest. A bit of a walk to get into the event, the line looped around the block. Stations were easy to get to through and did have an air conditioned building to cool off. If it wasn’t 90° it would have been super fun to be at for most of the day.
Trail conditions & character
“Absolutely amazing, I spent the 4th of July there with my family and the view was incredible, you could see all the fireworks in different places of the city.”
