Confirmed from Pequonnock Valley Wildlife Management Area's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What can I say, I love this trail! If you buy a water suit you can easily find your way down to the river and walk up it. It's family friendly, clean, and a great way to burn some energy whilst catching up with a friend. There are many different entrances and it is wildly long!

By and large our favorite place to explore in the Bridgeport, Trumbull area. You have the nice flat railroad bed walking/biking path on one side of this beautiful river and on the other your hiking/mountain biking trails. It’s a real gem and extends all the way to Indian Well Park.

This is mainly a rail trail and very easy to walk since it is completely flat. There are some side trails that a bit steep but easy to avoid. On the main trail there are benches every half mile if you need to take a break. This is a great park to go hiking if you are recovering from some form of injury.

1st time there. It was beautiful and very very clean. I went with my mountain bike and stuck to just the blue trail which follows the river. Excellent trails. More tech then downhill or single tacky where I was. Still, a great, quiet ride. I would recommend this area to mountain bikers, hikers and fisherman.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
