Confirmed from Perrineville Lake Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What a beautiful Park for a nice hike just walking in the beautiful fresh air through the woods the sights are remarkable and I'm guessing you can tell I love the parks I will give every Park in this state or any state a good review and just remember people keep it clean it's not that hard to pick up your darn garbage…

One of Monmouth county newer parks, this park integrates with a trail that runs through to Roosevelt tracking along through the unfinished part of Witches Hollow. Its fairly quiet if you head to Roosevelt with the hiking/MTB trail. The busiest spot of the linked park network is likely the parking lot on Agress Rd.

Biggest park in Millstone with lots of trails. They’ve even got a lake for fishing! I’d overall recommend checking one of the entrances for this park out.

My backyard. Well maintained trails and great views of the lake. If you have the stamina, explore the north side of Agress and visit the hidden pond

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

“5 mile hike but it was the most invigorating small hike with some very nice views.”

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
  • Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
