Confirmed from Peters Lake Spot 2's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Paved, kid-friendly lakeside park with picnic tables and walking trails, plus fishing and kayaking.
What runners say about Peters Lake Spot 2
“I'm not sure what Spot 2 means, but Peters Lake is beautiful with a nice trail around.”
If you're looking for a quiet place to take a walk come here. :-) - There is a paved path that leads to the larger 'Peters Lake Park' on the north shore. This side of the lake has VERY limited parking - maybe 9 spots. The North shore has I'm guessing 40 spots. We did not take the west trail which looked rustic but fun.
Great place to relax and kayak. It's a smaller lake but it also has a path that walks all the way around it.
Lake is split between Peters Township and North Strabane. Nice place to walk, kayak, fish, etc. Lots of dogs and dog owners. Most follow the leash rule. Peters Township has embraced the lake and provide care for the nicer side. Police patrol the Peters side. North Strabane doesn't.
Awesome scenery, beautiful trails and plenty of of great fishing! Only downside to spot two is not a lot of parking spots. They have a handful of picnic tables and two porta potties. They also have a small boat launch for kayaks and canoes.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
