Confirmed from Petroglyph Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
A 12-acre park preserving Native American culture with carved rocks, artworks & playgrounds.
What runners say about Petroglyph Park
“Nice, clean park with interesting and cool replica petroglyphs found in an area that is now controlled by the China Lake Naval Base.”
“Very very nice park, only complaint is it could use a little more shade and there were some massive irritation leaks”
An amazing day filled with a bunch of activities going on at the park there was a car show going on pretty big one filled with a lot of great cars there were trucks everywhere filled with wonderful food making barbecue to Tacos everything you can imagine amongst this the basketball court we took up and we use it to…
This is a good park to walk around because it has nice cement path and has petroglyphs to look at along the way. The walk around the park is not very long but you can do a few loops. Great with parents wanting to walk kids in strollers.
Nice, clean park with interesting and cool replica petroglyphs found in an area that is now controlled by the China Lake Naval Base. Pretty wild and some cool connections to alien/ufo stuff if you’re a kook like me. No shade on hot day, fun to walk around. Clean and well maintained park.
Nice small park with an area for kids, cooking/picnic stations and bathrooms. The walk around teaches you more about the history of the petrography. Short but interesting
