Confirmed from Pike County Lake's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 10 mentions

“It formed a scenic loop through the wooded area, spanning approximately 1.”

The trail was clearly defined and well-marked, featuring a mix of hard-packed and sandy terrain. It formed a scenic loop through the wooded area, spanning approximately 1.77 miles. To access the trail, you must cross the dam to reach the opposite side of the lake. Overall, it was a fantastic experience.

This is a beautiful lake and I have caught some nice bass here. There is a nice walking trail. They have boats you can rent and a good boat launch ramp. I was fishing here once and helped a lady bring in a 23-1/2 inch largemouth bass. WOW!

Took my boys and the lake was beautiful. There are picnic tables, rocking chairs on the porch, public restrooms and they even have ice cream for sale. We had so much fun. There are archery targets set up from 15 to 50 feet for practice. There is a hiking trail also. We highly recommend that you check it out.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
