Confirmed from Plains Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Tree-shaded playground featuring swings and a seesaw, plus a picnic pavilion.
What runners say about Plains Park
“The tree shade over the playground is also very welcome.”
Park open to the public. Fenced in playground geared towards toddlers/ preschool kids. We went on a rainy day, and there are puddles in some areas of the play ground. Lots of toddler toys, with some needing maintinance (usable). Toddlers loved it!
This is a lovely park for anyone. A small pavilion with picnic tables, a little lending library, a give and take food pantry, a disc golf course, playground for The kids, walking trail, and wooden swings. If you're looking for a little time outdoors to unwind or to meet with friends and family, this is a great location
Pretty decent park. The playground has good equipment. However, some of the children’s toys are old and dirty. They also have some paved trails that go around the park. Additionally there are some dirt trails that go around the forest that is adjacent to the field.
Great little park to take the little once. With the fenced in play area it really was nice to let my grandkids play without fear of someone running to the street.
Trail conditions & character
“Great soccer field, fenced in playground in wooded setting.”
“My only complaint is they only have one unisex bathroom and even that needs to be updated!”
